Andrew Hope was born in Johannesburg, and matriculated at Parktown Boys’ High School before obtaining his BA Honours Marketing Communication and BA Sports Communication degrees at the University of Johannesburg. During studies, Andrew’s passion for broadcasting and sports journalism became apparent as went from being a sports presenter in 2008 to being asked to co-host UJFM’s most prestigious slot, the Breakfast Show, 2009-2010. In addition, he was appointed as the News and Sports Editor in 2009, a possession he still holds. However, as external interest grew, Andrew joined SuperSport International as a journalist and reporter and, was subsequently asked to host UJFM’s first ever sports show, The UJFM Sports Network.

About “THE UJFM SPORTS NETWORK”

The UJFM Sports Network is a credible sports show hosted by Andrew Hope, every Tuesday, between 18:00 and 19:00. The show kicked-off in February 2011 and features high-profiled athletes from around the globe, analysts, dignitaries and politicians and, aims to empower all sporting codes. Controversial at times but nonetheless a fuel for thought as it is a culmination of previews, breaking sports news and reviews. Social-media forms a major part of the show’s interaction as “patrons” (listeners) are encouraged give their insight on arguably radio’s biggest sports stage.
